BMI Calculator

A body mass index or (BMI) is used to calculate whether you may be a candidate for bariatric surgery. It is a calculation based on of your weight and height. A BMI of 20-25 is considered normal, 25-30 overweight and 30-40 obese. Individuals with a BMI over 40 are considered morbidly obese. Patients who have a BMI of 35 or greater may be candidates for surgical treatment.

The Body Mass Index (BMI) was created to give people an idea of whether or not they are a healthy weight by using a formula which compares height and weight. To use this calculator, click on whether you are using centimeters and kilograms, or inches and pounds, then enter your height and weight and click the "calculate" button.
